Samsung The Frame is a TV that’s designed to look like art when you’re not using it. I’ve lost count of the number of times people have complimented the painting above our fireplace, only to be told it’s actually our TV. Choosing art for the Samsung Frame has become one of my favourite hobbies, especially now I’ve discovered all the best places to buy digital art for it.
It took me a couple of months of owning the Frame to realise that subscribing to the Samsung Art Store wasn’t the best value for money. While a subscription offers up over 1200 artworks to choose from, there were very few that fit in with our décor style or colour themes, and furthermore, I started to notice on social media that everyone else was using them too.
So, I dug around and did a bit of research into how I could find unique art for the Frame TV that better suited my love of landscapes, abstract and vintage art. I uncovered some really cool digital art stores that offer not just affordable art for the Samsung Frame TV but bundles of them too!
Below are my favourite places to purchase beautiful digital art for Samsung The Frame TV, plus a few tips on how to upload it and make it look more authentic.

Where to purchase digital artwork for the Samsung Frame TV
1. Juniper Print Shop
Juniper Print Shop turns up a lot in my Instagram feed as so many of my favourite interiors and home accounts hang Juniper prints in their homes. I recently discovered that Juniper even stock digital art prints of one of my favourite artists Laurie Anne Gonzalez – I’m a huge fan of ice-cream coloured French Port and this beach landscape inspired by Montauk.
Psst: Sign up to the Juniper newsletter and you get 10% off your first order.
2. BFF Print Shop
BFF Print Shop is run by a photographer and interior designer who clearly have a great eye for design. I really like their vintage collection of prints that have gorgeous rich toned landscapes and portraits.
The best thing about BFF Print Shop is they offer Samsung Frame TV Bundles. You can download 5 themed images for just $23. I’m obsessed with the Fall bundle (2 artworks from the Fall 1 bundle feature here and here) and I can’t wait to get the Christmas one soon too.
Top tip: When downloading your prints to your phone create a new album especially for the Frame TV as this makes it easier for the SmartThings App to recognise the images.
3. Collection Prints
Collection Prints is an affordable art store run by interiors blogger Katie Staples. (Side note: Her home is stunning. Check it out at @halfway_wholeistic)
I really love the more neutral and earthy tones in the Collection Prints range and that’s why I’ve purchased Wetlands II and Putty. (So far!)
Once you’ve made a purchase you’ll be emailed a zip file with your digital download in several aspect ratios. Look for the one labelled Samsung Frame, as this has been handily set to the optimal size already.
Note: You can print all the digital downloads you purchase too if you’d like to frame them somewhere other than your TV in future. Click here for more information (and a discount code!) for printing digital art.
4. Etsy
The most affordable place to buy digital art from the Samsung Frame TV is on Etsy. Just type in ‘Samsung Frame TV art’ to find sellers like North Prints and Wanderlust Print Collection who sell instant downloads for just £1 or £2 each.
I’ve bought multiple artworks from both these stores – for the TV and for old school printing – and you can’t quibble with the quality for the price!

How to make the art on your Frame TV look more authentic
Once you’ve chosen your beautiful art prints there are a couple of ways you can make them look more like a realistic picture or painting than a TV.
Firstly, you have the option to add a mount. Push the up button on your TV remote while in Art Mode and select Options+. This will bring up a couple of different mount options that you can customize with different colours to suit the artwork.
Secondly, you can adjust the brightness and colour tone in the Art Mode settings if your picture is looking a little glare-y.
Thirdly, schedule a slideshow of your favourite artwork. If you can’t decide on just one picture to display on the TV, set the frame to display a slideshow of your art prints so you get a new piece of art to look at every time you come back in the room. I use the SmartThings App to set a slideshow by going to Art Mode – Browse – My Collection – Slideshow.
Note: The TV has a motion sensor so if it’s gone into standby mode it will come back on when you walk past it. How cool it that!
Deco TV Frames
Finally, if you really want to fool everyone into thinking your TV is a work of art, invest in a premium decorative bezel by Deco TV Frames. We have 2 of these amazing decorative TV frames – Warm Silver and Pale Gold Alloy – and I love the extra layer of authenticity and decoration they add to the TV.
They are super easy to install – it magnetically assembles in minutes – and can be shipped worldwide. I have an exclusive discount code that will save you $50* off selected collections: Deco Alloy Samsung Bezels, Deco Premiere Frames. Simply use code JAYNEG at checkout.
*Minimum purchase of $299 required
I hope that helps any Samsung The Frame owners get the most out of it. I’m sure you’ll get many people exclaiming ‘That’s a TV?!’ or “I love your painting!’ once you upload some of these digital art prints.

What size is your frame TV? 65”?
hi, ours is a 50 inch
How do I keep my frame TV Art on? It is turning itself off to black screen.
I think in the Smart Things app there is a setting you can adjust so the TV stays on art mode for longer. Bear in mind its motion sensitive though so the art should come on as soon as you enter the room even if it has switched off due to inactivity.
Hi there!
What size is your fireplace? Do you have a link? I found this on Pinterest and fell in love! Thank you for the inspo
