I love mixing contemporary furnishings with vintage prints for a more considered feel to your interiors. A hand drawn still life or moody portrait adds an unexpected pop of personality to a modern home, while a vintage landscape tends to feature a lot of the mossy greens and earthy tones that are big in interiors at the minute. (Well, they are in this house anyway!)
I’m always on the lookout for places where I can buy vintage prints or digital downloads that are both unique and affordable, and today I thought I’d share with you my go-to places.

Best places to buy vintage art prints
North Prints (via Etsy)
One of the most affordable ways to add vintage art to your home is by buying a digital download from stores like North Prints on Etsy. North Prints have a huge collection of landscape, portrait and still life paintings in muted tones and many of them grace our walls.
They helpfully offer gallery wall collections (like this one), so if you’re looking to fill a large space, the hard work of pairing up complimentary pictures is already done for you.
The best bit, however, is that each print is priced between £3-4 (it’s less if you buy more) so it’s a really affordable way to change up your walls.

Other Etsy stores with printable vintage art that I recommend:
Musee Home
If you don’t want the hassle of printing art yourself, Jo from Musée Home has curated a beautiful ever-changing collection of vintage art prints that are so richly toned and textured you’d be forgiven for thinking they are original paintings.
The prints come mounted so you can prop them on a shelf or on a display easel like I have here.
Prices start from £25 for an A4 print.
BFF Print Shop
BFF Print Shop is run by a photographer and interior designer duo who clearly have a great eye for design. I love how their collections span both vintage and modern art, including original collaborations with artists and designer curated collections.
I’ve gone crazy for their minimalistic prints in our living room. Above the sofa I’ve printed No.5 3 times and paired it with a custom mount. Read all about that here.
In a reading nook next to our fireplace, I’ve hung Pine Tree Sketch and Split Tree Sketch in West Elm gallery frames.
Vintage Supply
Vintage Supply is another of my go-to print stores for unique vintage art. You do start to see a crossover between some of the Etsy stores, so when I’m looking for a more classic piece that others may not have, I turn to Vintage Supply.
I particularly love their collection of drawings, like the Seated Woman we have in our bedroom.
If you live in the US or Canada you can also shop their beautiful framed collection. (You lucky things!)
Collection Prints
Collection Prints is another of my favourite online art stores. It’s run by interiors blogger Katie Staples whose home is all over my vision board. (Check it out at @halfway_wholeistic – it’s stunning.)
I really love the more neutral and earthy tones in the Collection Prints range and that’s why I’ve purchased Wetlands II and Putty for our Samsung Frame TV.
In fact, if you have a Frame TV, it’s a double win when you purchase from the likes of Collection Prints and Juniper Print Shop! as the file you download will include artwork in aspect ratios for displaying on the TV as well as printing.

Juniper Print Shop
Juniper Print Shop is another of my all-time favourite places to shop for statement art prints. Each art print is selected and sourced by interior designer Jenny Komenda, and her eye for vintage art is exceptional.
I currently have Oak Park by Juniper Print Shop hanging in my study nook and I love the impact it has made on this pared back space.

Home At First Sight
Home At First Sight is a wonderful small business I discovered on Instagram and is the source of many of the gorgeous pieces of vintage homewares that grace our shelves and sideboards.
Curated by Monika at Style Loves Home, Home At First Sight is a handpicked selection of homewares that blend the modern and traditional with natural and rustic elements, which is what I’m all about really.
Monika recently added a collection of artwork to the website and I love her selections. Even better, when you make a purchase from the store she sends you a thank you note with this nude sketch printed on the back of it. It’s been professionally printed so why not frame it like I did!
Where to print your digital art downloads
Before recommending anywhere to print your digital art downloads I wanted to test it out for myself. I looked into a few options and am so happy with the results I’ve had with The Print Space that I’ve now used them for about 20 orders!
The Print Space offer high quality giclée art prints at really affordable prices. You simply upload your file, choose a custom size and select your paper. (They offer C-type prints for photography as well as giclée prints.)
I select Giclee print type on German Etching paper for all of my artwork. Your prints are dispatched in 24 hours and tend to arrive in your hands within 2 days. It’s that simple!
If you’d like to try printing your own vintage art, use code 9Q35VO3 for up to 50% off your first order.
Without a discount, expect to pay approximately £7 for a 200 x 135 mm giclée art print. The total cost, therefore, for a digital art download plus printing is around £15 including delivery – so a bargain really!
