So you’ve only got 1 day in Sydney and want to know the best things to do without reading everything on this website? No problem. My perfect day in Sydney looks a little like this:
First stop is Alexandria for some organic lemony pancakes with caramelised banana from Bread & Circus. Grab a coffee from Campos on the way out before hopping on a bus to Bronte – a brilliant white, eastern suburbs beach, where you’ll tackle the coastal track to Coogee (a scenic but shorter section of the famous Bondi to Coogee coastal walk).
Cool down by taking a dip in the sea at Coogee then refuel with snacks and smoothies in the sunshine at the Coogee Pavilion rooftop terrace. Next, hop on a bus to the city and take a walk through the Botanical Gardens, soaking up the view and snapping the city from the perspective of the rose garden.
Then pay $6 for a quick dip at the ABC Pool and freshen up in their changing facilities before heading to Criniti’s restaurant on Woolloomooloo Wharf, just in time for happy hour cocktails and sunset views.
For dinner, hop in a cab to Surry Hills and grab a table in the twinkly courtyard of The Winery, saving just enough room for a scoop or two of salted caramel and white choc chip ice cream at Gelato Messina for dessert.
How’s that sound to you?
