I’ve spent a lot of time lately looking into cosy, remote cabins in Cornwall for us to staycation with our toddler and there were so many cool options I struggled to book just one. So, for anyone else looking to book a Cornwall Airbnb I thought I would share my shortlist of the best cabins in Cornwall for couples and young families.
From a Scandi-chic luxury log cabin to a shepherd’s hut with a hot tub, I think you’ll love these Cornwall Airbnb holidays as much as me.

Best Cornwall Airbnb stays for couples and young families
If you’re keen to avoid the crowds in a popular UK staycation spot like Cornwall, these self-contained, self-catering glamping options (with en suite bathrooms!) will definitely appeal.
Found on farms, orchards and acres of private land across Cornwall, it won’t be hard to escape the crowds in these rural retreats.
Luxury Scandi Cabin On A Hill
First on the list is a luxury Scandi cabin perched on a hill between Padstow and St Ives that we had a wonderful stay at in August 2020.
We loved that it’s in a remote, rural location but just a short drive from some of the prettiest villages in Cornwall including St Ives, Marazion and Mousehole.
The cabin has a Scandi-cool looks that feels totally cosy and the views of St Michael’s Mount leave no doubt that you are in Cornwall.
There’s a log burner for when the nights get chilly, and a decking area tucked behind the cabin where we enjoyed a glass of wine and good book while our toddler was napping.
There’s a fully equipped kitchen and dining area and a supermarket a short drive away, so it’s well set up for self-catering. The host family are lovely too, going that extra mile by leaving welcome treats and freshly picked flowers in the cabin on arrival day.
I’ll admit it’s not the most child-friendly place we have ever stayed (we didn’t realise there wasn’t a door on the bedroom) but it was roomy enough for us to pop our toddler’s travel cot and playpen in either the bedroom or the lounge and we didn’t feel cramped during our week there.

Stylish Converted Cowshed For Couples
Does somebody want to adopt my toddler for the weekend as the child-free me is dying to stay in this chic rustic country retreat?
I’ve never seen a cowshed look as pretty as this barn conversion in Cornwall, which comes complete with a dark green shaker kitchen, barn door and open shelving – basically all the interior design trends I want for our new home.
This one’s in quite a remote location, the owner describes the drive as a ‘unique, bumpy, off-road experience’, but it looks perfect for just chilling out and enjoying country walks with the odd day trip to the likes of The Eden Project and Fowey.

Another top pick for couples, this cute Cornish shepherd’s hut is hidden away on 24-acre farm. The cosy cabin is equipped with a log burning stove to keep you toasty whatever the weather, and a stylish en suite shower room with heated towel rail.
The luxury amenities continue outside with the private hot tub and fire pit, so you can have a dip and admire the stars while dinner cooks in the Dutch oven.
Location-wise, you’re close to Bodmin Moor and the South West Coast Path for scenic walks, and picturesque fishing villages like Polperro are just a drive away.

The Wriggly Tin Shepherd’s Hut With Hot Tub
I don’t know which of the best things about the Wriggly Tin to start with but perhaps the wood fired tin hot tub is a good one? This gorgeous Cornish shepherd’s hut has a skylight for stargazing over the bed, luxury linen and fluffy towels in the en suite bathroom, a mini kitchen, outdoor fire pit and, oh, its own flock of sheep.
Found in a tranquil rural hamlet called Tregoose, you can spend your Cornish holiday on some of the stunning beaches of Cornwall’s north coast or just explore the 6 acres of river front land and orchards that The Wriggly Tin is found on.
