I love writing but sometimes the pictures do a better job at explaining something than I could. So for this post I’m stepping aside and letting these 30 photos show you why the Maldives is a fantastic place for a honeymoon.
Firstly you’ll fall in love with the place before you’ve even landed

And get a tantalizing glimpse of what’s to come when passing through security at Male Airport

Because transfers in the Maldives look like this

And arriving at your resort looks like this

Because your ‘room’ looks like this

And when you turn your head one way you see this

And on the other side is this. #strikeapose

Because your villa comes with a private infinity pool

And you might have the main pool all to yourself too

Because there’s lots of private spots for just the two of you to snuggle

And you’ll feel like there’s not another person in the ocean

Coffee breaks will never be the same

Nor will breakfast #ruinedforlife

Or champagne for that matter #firstworldproblems

Because your cocktail matches the decor so perfectly

And wearing shoes is totally optional

Because your new hubby will love the hammock time

And you’ll struggle to get him out of the water

Because you can see a wealth of marine life without even being in the water

But you’ll want to swim a lot as the ocean is as warm as bathwater

Because a butler will drive you to dinner in a luxury golf buggy

And sunset meals are more romantic than you could possibly imagine

So what do you reckon? Have these pictures sold you on a Maldives honeymoon? Or a romantic holiday for that matter!
All pictures were taken on our honeymoon at Coco Bodu Hithi Maldives. Find out more about why we loved it here.

I could imagine you wouldn’t want to go anywhere else again!
Maybe Bora Bora haha. Got to dream big right!?!
I have no words. This is absolutely breathtaking!
All those pictures are so incredibly gorgeous!! I have always wanted to stay in one of those over-water bungalows – your pictures just make me want to drop everything and get out there right now!
Me too, it was something we’d dreamed about for so long and completely lived up to the expectation. Do it!
I am totally sold, although I’m not sure I can wait until the day I actually get married and have a honeymoon…
No need to wait Jodie. Treat yourself 🙂
Oh my goodness Jayne! Seriously, I’m so jealous. I honeymooned in Sydney and now feel like I need to just do the whole thing over again so I can recreate this. I think for our 10th anniversary we’ll have to make it happen. What a dream!
Do it! It’s such an incredibly beautiful location. We want to go back for our 1st anniversary but I think I may be dreaming haha
